Scene I.Previous to the drawing up of the curtain, an appropriate overture is to be played. I fhall endeavour to prevail on Meffrs. Duffek and Kelly to club their well-known talents, and alfo to rummage their heads, and ranfack their porte-feuilles, for fomething frappant! As foon as the accustomed fignal of the prompter's whistle is heard, the band (with confiderable additions) will emerge from their fubterraneous caverns; and, after being duly arrayed, they will fhoulder their fiddles, &c. The inftant Mr. Shaw taps the candle-fkreen with his bow, the lights, of every kind, will be fuddenly extinguifhed!!! -There's novelty for you!
