Ans. We find it in the Bible. Is the word Trinity in the Bible? How then can we say that we find the mystery of the Trinity in the Bible? What does Christ say of his Father and Himself? John v. 17. What is the work of the Father? Ans. To create. What is the work of the Son? Ans. To redeem. What is the work of the Spirit? Ans. To make holy. Are we any holier for saying that we believe in the doctrine of the Trinity? Ans. Not unless we carry the doctrine into our lives. How may we carry the doctrine into our lives? Ans. By honoring the Father, who has made us; lov ing the Son, who has redeemed us; and praying the Holy Ghost to sanctify us. Why should we be earnest to defend our faith in the blessed Trinity? Ans. Because we believe it to be a true faith. How may we always best defend the truth of God? Ans. By holding it in sincerity and speaking it in love. Holy, Holy, Holy! Lord God Almighty!
