look in mercy, we beseech Thee, upon the tribes of Israel, Thy chosen people; whom Thou hast, according to Thy threatened judgments, dispersed among the nations of the earth. Be pleased to take the veil from their hearts, and bring them to the knowledge of Jesus as their Messiah. Hasten the glorious time when He Who scattered Israel shall gather him, and Israel shall blossom and bud, and fill the face of the world with fruit; and when, from the rising of the sun to the going down of the same, Thy Name shall be great among the Gentiles. Grant this for Thy dear Son's sake, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

A COLLECT OR PRAYER FOR ALL
CONDITIONS OF MEN. O GOD, the Creator and Preserver of all for all sorts and conditions of men; that Thou wouldest be pleased to make Thy ways known unto them, Thy saving health unto all nations. More especially we pray for the good estate of the Universal Church; that it may be so guided and governed by Thy good Spirit, that all who profess and call themselves Christians may be led into the way of truth, and hold the faith in unity of spirit, in the bond of peace, and in righteousness of life. Finally, we commend to Thy fatherly goodness all those, who are any ways afflicted, or distressed, in mind, body, or estate ; (* especially those for whom our prayers are desired), that
