THE Church of Rome teacheth that Christ is in the Bread and Wine : But the Protestant Church teacheth, according to the truth, that Christ is in them who do worthily eat and drink the Bread and Wine. The Church of Rome saith, that Christ is received into the mouth, and entereth in with the Bread and Wine : But the Protestant Church teacheth that Christ is received into the heart, and entereth in by faith. The Church of Rome teacheth that Christ is really in the Sacramental Bread, so long as the form of bread remaineth: But the Protestant Church affirmeth that Christ remaineth in the man, who worthily receiveth the Bread, so long as the man remaineth a member of Christ. |
