TABLE OF CONTENTS

VOLUME 5

[blocks in formation]

WAY & GROFF
Printers of the original edition

of this volume

Little is known about these two printers except that they printed in Philadelphia, 1798-1800. They followed the government to Washington and received some printing contracts and, among other titles, printed Rules & Articles for the Better Government of the Troops. ..of the United States of America.

The original edition of this volume was issued under their imprint: “Washington: Printed by Way & Groff, North E Street. 1800." But as the session did not end until March 3, 1801, the date is incorrect.
