LONDON:
Printed for JOHN BELL, near Exeter-Exchange, in the Strand;
and C. ETHERINGTON, at York,

MDCCLXXIV,

[blocks in formation]

THIS piece is founded on an agreeable fable pleasantly

bandled; among Shakespeare's irregular plays it holds an advantageous place, and is very alterable for the theatres, tho' not one of the characters is Arongly marked except Launce ; nor are the fituations, as they ftand, so interefting by far as might be wibed: It is very far from a bad piece, and much less diftant from merit; tolerable judgment and genius would make it a living, entertainment.
