Of the 18,323 scholars on Registers at end of School Year 71 were under 12; 1,435 were 12 and under 13; 5,243 were 13 and under 14; 5,052 were 14 and under 15; 3,357 were 15 and under 16, and 3,165 were 16 years of age and over. (For additional information as to Higher Grade Schools see Table 24.) * Including 1,888 graduates (1,545 male and 343 female)-1,827 in Public, 11 in Church of Scotland, 12 in United Free Church, 3 in Episcopal, 11 in Roman Catholic, and 24 in Of the latter, 542 took the certificate examination as graduates, and 30 graduated Undenominational and other schools.
