Mention the adverbial sentences of time :

68. Adverbial Sentences of Place denote :

1. Rest in a Place (where ?): as, Where light is, chameleons change.

2. Motion to a Place (whither ?): as, Whither thou goest, I

will go.

3. Motion from a Place (whence ?): as, He will return

whence he came.

69. The Connectives of Adverbial Sentences of Place are the subordinative conjunctions Whence, whencesoever, where, wheresoever, wherever, whither, whithersoever."

Obs. The connectives of adverbial sentences of place are sometimes called relative adverbs. The demonstrative adverbs (here, there; hither, thither, &c.) are sometimes expressed in the principal sentence: as, There where grows the hawthorn tree, we often met in days gone by. If there be resolved into in that place, the adverbial sentence may be treated as an adjective sentence, qualifying place.
