tion not to be repented of; but the sorrow of the world worketh death."-2 Cor. vii. 10.

“False repentance has grief of mind, and humiliation, only for great and glaring offences, until it supposes pardon for these obtained. True repentance is a continued war against sin, a permanent inward shame for its defilements, till death sounds a retreat."-VENN.
