HIS, the third annual volume published by the Committee, contains the greater number of the "Afternoon Lectures" delivered during the Spring of 1865, in the Museum of Irish Industry, S. Stephen's Green, Dublin. Owing to a variety of circumstances its publication has been unavoidably delayed until the present time. The marked success which has attended the efforts of the Committee induces them to hope that the "Afternoon Lectures" have supplied a want which had been long felt before their establishment, and that they have already taken a place as a permanent institution in Dublin. The Committee take this opportunity of offering their thanks to the several gentlemen who have contributed lectures to the course, as well |
