No. 4.

White satin robe; the corsage, cut low and square at top, descends in a very long point in front, and is trimmed with a deep fall of Honiton lace. Short tight sleeves. Three lace flounces ornament the skirt. Short mantle, composed of green velvet, lined with rose-coloured satin; it is made with a deep hood and large sleeves, and is entirely bordered with ermine.]

MORNING DRESS.

No. 5.

Cambric under dress; the corsage high and close, with a falling collar. Fawn coloured cashmere robe de chambre, lined with levantine; the corsage, tight to the shape and partially open on the bosom, is bordered with a green velvet

ribbon, and trimmed en militaire, with braiding and brandebourgs. The sleeves are very low and wide, open at the lower part in front of the arm, and decorated at the back with ornaments in green soutache. The pocket holes and border of the skirt are ornamented en suite. Head dress of hair curled in the neck

CARRIAGE DRESS.

No. 6.

Emerald green poplin robe; a high corsoge, partially covered by a very large pelerine, embroidered in a running pattern with silk to correspond. Long tight sleeve, guantlet cuff, also embroidered. Black satin chapeau, lined with rose-coloured satin, and the exterior covered with black lace. Rose-coloured brides, and a full-blown rose attached on one side by a knot of rose ribbon, com pletes the trimming.

No. 7.

MORNING VISITING DRESSES.

Fawn-coloured cachmere robe, corsage à l'amazone, and long tight sleeves. Black satin pelisse, a light corsage, partically covered by a very deep pelerine, bordered by a bias band of black velvet. Sleeve, a three-quarter length, similarly edged, and rather wide. The skirt is a three-quarter length, open from the waist, and trimmed down the front with velvet bands. Rose-coloured satin chapeau, a round shape; the interior decorated with flowers, the exterior with knots of ribbon, and a long flat feather, both to correspond.

No. 8.

Pearl-grey satin robe; the border is trimmed with two deep biais, each edged with a narrow flounce. Violet velvet paletot, descending only to the knee; it is made with a falling collar, and long tight sleeves, the whole bordered with an embroidery in braiding, and the collar closed by a cord and tassels. Chapeau of green velours epingié; the brim, rather long and moderately open, is trimmed near the temples with flowers; the exterior with ribbon to correspond, and a shaded feather.

No. 9.

WALKING DRESS.

Dark drab-coloured merino robe, a high corsage, and sleeve a three-quarter length over full ones of cambric. Black satin pelisse, a high corsage, fitting closely, and skirt of a three-quarter length, a little open at the bottom; falling collar. A band of passementerie, upon which large silk buttons are laid, goes down each side of the front. The sleeve is a three-quarter length, and tight, except at the bottom. Blue velvet chapeau, a small round shape, trimmed with satin ribbon, and a bouquet of short feathers, both to correspond.

No. 10.

Grey satin robe, the border trimmed high with velvet ribbon of a corres ponding colour. Dark green velvet pelisse. It gives a back view of the one just described, as does also the chapeau, which is composed of purple velvet.

WALKING DRESSES.

No. 11.

Dark grey Cashmere robe; a high corsage and long tight sleeves; it is trimmed from the top of the corsage to the bottom of the skirt, with fancy silk Marguise buttons. Black satin mantle, nearly as long as the dress, rounded in front, and made with sleeves; it is bordered with a volant of black satin, edged with passementerie Chapeau of green velours epingle, it is a Pamela, short at the cars, and trimmed with ribbon, and a bouquet of flowers to correspond.

No. 12.

-Grey satin robe, a watered ground with satin stripes; corsage à l'Amazone, tight sleeves, and the skirt trimmed with two deep flounces edged with fringe. Violet velvet mantelet écharpe, trimmed with fringe. Pink satin chapeau presenting a side view of the one just described.

PUBLIC PROMENADE DRESS.

No. 13.

Iron grey levantine robe; the corsage quite high, tight to the shape and pointed is trimmed, as is also the front of the skirt, with the same material, and passementerie in a manner perfectly novel, for which we refer to our plate. Long tight sleeves and close mancheron trimmed with passementerie. Capote Clarisse of dark coloured satin, lined with blue velvet, the interior trimmed with coques of velvet ribbon; brides en suite, the exterior with a long drooping feather and ribbon, both corresponding with the satin. Cashmere shawl.

EVENING DRESS.
No. 1.

Straw-coloured velours epingle robe; corsage cut low and pointed, it is trimmed with a cardinal peferine of point d'Angleterre. Short sleeve finished with a lace ruffle, looped at the bend of the arm. The skirt is trimmed with four flounces of point d'Angleterre disposed down each side of the front, and round the border in the tunic style. Head dress of hair decorated with a wreath of foliage and roses.
