Wandsworth Literary and Scientific Institution,

Nov. 27, 1855.

THE Committee of the Wandsworth Institution feel how imperfectly they can convey their sense of gratitude to the Rev. Dr. Booth for the valuable Lecture on the Female Education of the Industrial Classes, which he delivered before so large and influential a meeting of its friends and supporters on the 20th inst.

Whilst returning their sincere thanks for the same, they cannot but regret that the sentiments therein expressed should not have a wider circulation than has been afforded by the meeting and the daily papers.

They trust the importance of the question and the interest thereby awakened, may induce him to publish his Lecture in the form of a pamphlet.
