Anointing with the Spirit: The Rite of Confirmation: The Use of Oil and ChrismLiturgical Press, 1985 - 198 頁 The Rite of Confirmation is the primary focus of this work by Gerard Austin, O.P. For Father Austin, confirmation's connection with the total initiation process is the touchstone for an understanding of the sacrament. As with the other books in this series on the reformed rites, this book consists of three parts: The Tradition, surveying the historical development of confirmation; The Reforms, dealing with modern reforms; and The Future, analyzing present praxis with an opening to the future. A secondary focus of this book in on the Rite of the Blessing of Oils and the Rite of Consecrating the Chrism. Reverend Gerard Austin, O.P., was the chairman of the Department of Theology at the Catholic University of America, Washington, D.C from 1983-1986. |

第 139 頁 - Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? Therefore we have been buried with him by baptism into death, so that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life.
第 130 頁 - Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
第 112 頁 - The spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.
第 xi 頁 - Lord of all: that word, I say, ye know, which was published throughout all Judea, and began from Galilee, after the baptism which John preached; how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil ; for God was with Him.
第 71 頁 - DO ye here, in the presence of GOD, and of this congregation, renew the solemn promise and vow that was made in your name at your Baptism ; ratifying and confirming the same in your own persons, and acknowledging yourselves bound to believe, and to do, all those things, which your Godfathers and Godmothers then undertook for you?
第 25 頁 - I say to you, unless one is born of water and the spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the spirit is spirit. Do not marvel that I said to you, "You must be born again.
第 68 頁 - WE receive this Child into the congregation of Christ's flock, and do sign him *jp with the sign of the Cross, in token that hereafter he shall not be ashamed to confess the faith of Christ Crucified, and manfully to fight under His banner against sin, the world, and the Devil ; and to continue Christ's faithful soldier and servant to his life's end.
第 3 頁 - The voice of one crying in the wilderness: Prepare the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.
第 9 頁 - For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ. For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body— Jews or Greeks, slaves or free— and all were made to drink of one Spirit.
第 5 頁 - I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I , whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit...
