6. The Candidates for Examination shall be examined in the Irish Grammar, the Four Gospels, the Acts of the Apostles, the Epistle to the Romans, 1st and 2nd Timothy, the Epistle to the Hebrews, and Composition.

7. In the event of there being in any year no Candidate for the Prize, or want of sufficient merit, the interest of the sum so invested in the Funds shall be added to the principal sum.

PREMIUMS IN CIVIL LAW.

FOR the encouragement of the Study of Civil Law, the Board have founded Two Prizes, one of £10, the other of £5, to be given to the best answerers at the Annual Examination held by the Regius Professor. For the subjects of this Examination in the year 1857 see page 54.

No Student can be a Candidate for these Prizes, whose name is not on the College Books at the time of the Examination.

FOR the encouragement of the study of Feudal and English Law, the Board have placed at the disposal of the Regius Professor the sum of £15, to be given in two or three premiums, according to the merit of the Candidates, to the best answerers at the Annual Examination held by him. For the subjects of this Examination

in the year 1857 see p. 54.

A Premium cannot be awarded to a Student whose name is not on the College Books at the time of the Examination. Candidates for these Premiums, whose names are off the College Books, will

be permitted to replace their names for the day of the Examination, free of charge, upon mere payment of the Junior Bursar's fee.
