GOD fent his own Son in the likenefs of finful flesh, and for fin condemned fin in the flefh (b). For this purpose the Son of God & Rom. was manifefted, that he might destroy the works of the Devil (i). Being manifested i 1 John to take away our fins (k). Concerning the inward manifeftation of
Christ.

Concerning the New Birth.

For in Chrift Jefus, neither circumcifion availeth any thing, nor uncircumcifion, but a new creature (k).

Concerning the Unity of the Saints with

Christ.

exceeding great and precious promises that are given them, they are made partakers of m2 Pet. the divine nature (m). Because for this end prayed Chrift, that all might be one, as the Father is in him, and he in the Father, that they alfo might be one in them; and the glory which he had gotten from the Father, he gave them, that they might be one, even as the Father and he is one; Christ in the Saints, and the Father in Chrift, that they John might be made perfect in one (n).

ARTICLE X.

Concerning the universal Love and Grace of God to all.

GOD fo loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whofoever believeth in him should not perish, but have John everlafting life (o). And in this was manifefted the love of God toward us, because that God fent his only begotten Son into the John world, that we might live through him (p). So that if any man fin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous; and he is the propitiation for our fins; and not for ours only, but alfo for the fins of 41 John the whole world (q).
