In obedience to the order of the Senate, adopted July 13th, directing the transmission of the amount assessed, the amount paid, and the amount now due the State under the late law for the building and repair of roads in unincorporated places, I herewith communicate the following schedule.

AN ACT authorizing the Portland, Saco, and Portsmouth Railroad Company to lease their road.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in Legislature assembled, as follows:

The Portland, Saco, and Portsmouth Railroad Com2 pany are hereby authorized and empowered to make 3 any contract, or contracts, by lease or otherwise, with 4 the Boston and Maine Railroad Company, and the 5 Eastern Railroad Company, corporations created by 6 the acts of the legislature of the Commonwealth of 7 Massachusetts for the use and maintenance of the
