WHEREAS, The township committee on the township of Lake-
wood, county of Ocean, has petitioned the Senate for the privi-
lege of removing a memorial tablet to the memory of the late
William J. Harrison, from the place where said tablet is now
located to a more central and public location; therefore, be it
Resolved, That permission be and is hereby granted to the said
township committee of the township of Lakewood, county of
Ocean, to place said tablet in the location which in their judg-
ment is deemed advisable-631.

That the privileges of the floor be granted to Judge White of the
Court of Errors and Appeals-709.

That the privileges of the floor be accorded Hon. Robert Wil-
liams, Judge of the Court of Errors and Appeals, and a former

hearty approval of the conscientious, faithful and impartial ad-
ministration of the business of this session of the Senate by the
presiding officer, Hon. William N. Runyon, and extend to him
our most cordial greeting and best wishes for the future-779.
That the members of the Senate express their grateful apprecia-
tion to Hon. Henry E. Ackerson, leader of the minority, for the
faithful performance of the exacting duties of his position, and
wish him continued success in the higher duties which he is
shortly to assume-780.

That the members of the Senate hereby record their appreciation of the capable and courteous manner in which the Hon. Clarence E. Case, leader of the majority, has performed the duties devolving upon him, and for the assistance given and generous spirit he has manifested to each member of this body -780.

That the members of the Senate express their deep regret in the severance of the Senatorial relationship with Senators J. Hampton Fithian and Harold B. Wells, and bespeaks for them a still greater measure of success in the ranks of the judiciary of our State-780.

That the thanks of the Senate be hereby extended to Mr. John Smith, Custodian, Mr. John Multop, janitor-foreman, and Mr. Harvey Rohrbach, postmaster, for the courtesies and efficient manner in which they have looked after the wants of the members of the Senate during this session-780.

That the members of the Senate extend their best wishes to Hon. David G. Conrad in the performance of his new duties as a member of the Ocean County Board of Taxation-780.

Resolution-That the members of the Senate recognize the uniform courtesy and ready assistance shown them by the Secretary, William H. Albright, and hereby tender him our grateful thanks for the efficient manner in which he has performed the duties of this office-781.

That the thanks and appreciation of the members, of the Senate is hereby expressed to all officers and employees of the Senate for the faithful manner in which they have performed their respective duties-781.

That the Secretary of the Senate be authorized to prepare the indices of the Senate Journal and Minutes of the Executive Sessions in the same general manner as the indices of the Session of 1918, and that he be paid the same compensation as allowed for preparing the indices of 1918–781.

That the members of the Senate recognize the uniform courtesy and untiring efforts of the female stenographic force, and hereby tender them our grateful thanks for their faithful performance of their duties-781.

That the Senate of the State of New Jersey express to the New Jersey State Chamber of Commerce its thanks for the legislative index mailed each week to the members of the Senate; and be it further Resolved, That the Secretary of the Senate be instructed to convey to the New Jersey State Chamber of Commerce the appreciation of the Senate for the excellent service rendered during the session of 1919–781.

That the Senate record its approval of the uniform courtesy of
the minority leader, Hon. Henry E. Ackerson, who has been at
all times an earnest, useful and efficient legislator; and be it
further Resolved, That while we regard his retirement from the
Senate as a distinct loss to this body, we are firmly convinced
that the judicial branch of the State government is the gainer
thereby-781.

That the courtesy of the floor be extended to the Hon. E. C.
Stokes, former Governor of this State-785.

That the hour of adjournment having arrived, the Secretary in-
form the House of Assembly that the Senate is now ready to
adjourn sine die, and awaits the presence of the House of Assem-
bly in the Senate Chamber-799.

That a committee of three be appointed by the President to await upon his Excellency, the Governor, and inform him that the Senate has completed its labors and is about to adjourn sine die, and to inquire if the Executive has any further communications to make to this body-799.

That all bills on the desk of the President and Secretary, and in
the possession of the various committees of the Senate, not
acted upon, will be filed by the State Librarian as dead bills—

That the privilege of the floor be extended to the Hon. Walter

Resolution-That the Clerk of the House is hereby directed to inform the Senate that the House of Assembly has organized by the election as Speaker of the Hon. Arthur N. Pierson, of Union county, and of Edward J. Handley, of Essex county, as Clerk, and has proceeded to business-207.
