Assembly Bill No. 200, entitled "An act regulating the weighing, sampling and testing of milk and cream when the results of such weighing, sampling and testing are to be used in official inspection or as a matter of public record, or as the basis of payment for milk or cream purchased, and to repeal an act entitled 'An act regulating the weighing, testing and purchasing of milk and cream in certain cases,' approved March eighth, one thou

sand nine hundred and sixteen,

Was taken up on third reading.

Mr. Kays asked unanimous consent to amend said bill on third reading.

Which was agreed to.

Mr. Kays offered the following amendments, which were read and adopted:

On page 1, paragraph 2, line 2, after the word "receiving" insert the word "or".

On page 1, paragraph 2, line 2, strike out the words "and paying for".

Page 2, line 11, strike out the word "private" and insert in lieu thereof the words "their own".

On page 3, paragraph 8, line 3, after the word "used" in said line insert the following: "by any person, firm or corporation receiving or purchasing the same".

On page 3, paragraph 8, line 4, after the word "cream" on said line strike out the words "purchased or for official inspection or public", and on line 5 strike out the word "record".

On page 3, paragraph 8, line 4, after the word "cream" add the following: "provided, however, that nothing in this paragraph contained shall be construed to apply to any test made by the Director of the New Jersey Agricultural Experiment Station or his deputies".

On page 4, after line 12 of paragraph 10, insert a new paragraph to be known as paragraph "10A", which shall read as follows:

"Every person, firm or corporation affected by the provisions of this act shall within five days after the day on which the test herein provided for has been made notify the seller of such milk or cream of the result of such test and the amount of milk or cream sold or delivered by said seller, covering the period of time 43 Sen Jour

during which said composite sample was taken. Notice under this section shall be given either personally, in writing, or by registered mail to the seller of such milk or cream".

On page 5, paragraph 11, line 6, strike out the words "fifteen hundred" and the figures "1500" wherever the same occur in said line, and insert in lieu thereof the words "three thousand" and the figures "3,000".

The Secretary was directed by the President to carry said bill to the House of Assembly and inform that body that the Senate has passed the same with Senate amendments, and requests its concurrence therein.

Assembly Bill No. 230, entitled "An act to amend an act entitled 'An act concerning commercial feeding stuffs,' approved on March twenty-eighth, one thousand nine hundred and twelve," with amendments approved March sixteenth, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen,

Was taken up and read a third time.

Upon the question, "Shall this Assembly bill pass?" it was decided as follows:

In the affirmative were

Messrs. Ackerson, Barber, Bright, Brown, Conrad, Edwards, Fithian, Haines, Hammond, Kays, Martens, Pilgrim,
