the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant. Therefore hath the curse devoured the earth, and they that dwell therein are desolate.

↳ JER. xii. 11: They have made it [my pleasant portion] desolate, and being desolate it mourneth unto me.

1 JOHN, v. 14: This is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us. GEN. 1. 20: As for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.
