Mr. Voorhees offered the following resolution, which was read and adopted: Resolved, That the rules of the last session be adopted for the government of the present session of the Senate, and that two hundred copies of the rules, together with the Constitution of the State and the Standing Committees of both Houses, with their Joint Committees, and names, residences of members and officers, be printed for the use of the Senate. Mr. Daly offered the following resolution, which was read and adopted: Resolved, That the Select Committee of the Senate, consisting of Senators Voorhees, Ketcham, Skirm, Daly and Herbert, appointed under the resolution of February 13th, 1895, be continued and invested with all the power in said resolution conferred, and that they proceed with the inquiry therein provided for, together with any other which, after due consideration, may be deemed necessary for the best interests of the State, and the said committee shall have leave to sit during the session and report to the present Senate, and to sit during the recess and report to the session of 1898.
