Senate Bill No. 102, entitled "An act relating to and providing for the government of cities of this state containing a population of less than twelve thousand inhabitants, not organized or existing under special charters granted by the legislature of this state,"

Which was read for the first time by its title, ordered to have a second reading, and referred to the Committee on Municipal Corporations.

Mr. Voorhees moved that when the Senate adjourn it be to meet on Tuesday morning at 10:30 o'clock.

The Senate then adjourned.

At 10:30 o'clock the Senate met.

The session was opened by prayer by the Rev. T. S. Hammond, of Glassboro.

Under the direction of the President, the Secretary called the Senate, when the following Senators appeared and answered the call: Messrs. Barber, Engle, Francis, Gould, Herbert, Johnson H. W., Johnson W. M., Ketcham, Parry, Reed, Skirm, Stanger, Stokes, Voorhees, Vreeland, Williams (President)-16.

Journal of Monday was read and approved.

Mr. Barber submitted a petition, signed by residents of Warren county, requesting the passage of the marriage license bill.

Referred to the Committee on the Revision of the Laws.

Mr. Stokes submitted a petition, requesting delay of action on the constitutional amendment concerning biennial sessions.

Referred to the Committee on the Judiciary.

Mr. Vreeland, Chairman of the Committee on Revision of the Laws, reported

Senate Bill No. 82, entitled "A supplement to an act entitled 'An act to empower the rector, church wardens and vestry of Saint Peter's Church, iu Perth Amboy, to make sale and conveyance of certain real estate," "

Favorably, without amendment.

Mr. Skirm moved to reconsider the vote by which said bill was ordered to have a third reading,

The bill was then amended, agreed to, and ordered to be engrossed, and to have a third reading.
