Jesus Christ, after my own thoughts, by the Scriptures.

Moreover this great and good Commandment to keep holy the Sabbath day, is appointed of the God of all goodness and truth, that the creature may know that he hath no power to deliver himself by his own thoughts, but that his God and Father, dwelling in the spirit of his creature, is the only power to deliver him, and to fill him with the knowledge of his glory-as it is written, Moreover I gave them my Sabbaths to be a sign between me and them, that they might know that I am the Lord that sanctify them. Ezekiel xx. 12.

Again--And there (at the door of the tabernacle) I will meet with the children of Israel, and the tabernacle shall be sanctified by my glory. Exodus xxix. 43.

Once more-Sanctify them in truth; thy word is truth. John xvii. 17.

So then the Spirit commands his creature to cease from his vain labours to sanctify himself, and to wait patiently the Sabbath day—the time appointed of the Spirit to be sanctified of the Father by his Glory, which is his Truth, according to his thoughts.

So then after the good Spirit had made himself known unto me by bringing, out of the spiritual Egypt, his helpless creature. For man in the thoughts of his own heart, by the Scriptures, con

cerning God and Jesus Christ, is in the spiritual bondage of Egypt. For that which binds, straitens, troubles, and oppresses, is the meaning of Egypt. And the thoughts of men by the Scriptures do all these things.

So when it pleased God to deliver me from the thoughts concerning God and Jesus Christ in which I had been taught by men-the same is spiritually called, Bringing Israel out of Egypt the first time.

So then it is manifest that the good Spirit in bringing me out of Egypt the first time had shewn me good and evil-For he had shewn me that the thoughts of God are good, and the power to deliver from error; but that the thoughts of men are evil, and the power to lead into error.

Therefore, after the good Spirit had done those great things in me, according to his mercy and his truth, He then commanded me, saying-I set before you the way of life and good; and also the way of death and evil, as it is written. I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: That thou mayest love the Lord thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land

which the Lord sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them. Deuteronomy xxx. 15, 19, 20.

Now the way of life is none other than the Will of God and the Way of God to deliver his creature from all spiritual error, and to fill his creature with all spiritual truth according to his eternal purpose.

And the way of death is none other than the Will of man and the Way of man to deliver himself from error, and to guide himself into truth by a judgment that is right in his own

eyes.

If then the Will of God and the Way of God are known to be the Way of life! What then is the Will of God? and what the Way of God? This is the will of God, Your Sanctification. 1 Thess. iv. 3.

ye

And this is the appointed Way of God-That should abstain from fornication. 1 Thess. iv. 3. But what is the spiritual meaning of the Great Commandment, that we may understand it and do it?

In the spiritual language of the truth, God is the spiritual Husband of the spiritual Israel; and the spirit of the Firstborn is the beginning of spiritual Israel-And this is the Everlasting marriage Covenant between the Spirit of God and the spirit of his creature. I will be unto thee an

Husband, and thou shalt be unto me a Wife. This is a great mystery; but I speak concerning Christ and the church. Ephes. v. 32.

Now as a woman breaks the Covenant of her Husband when she is tempted and drawn away of her own lust to commit adultery with another man; Even so the spiritual Israel breaks the Covenant of her spiritual Husband when she is tempted and drawn away of her own lust to commit spiritual adultery.

And as natural adultery was punished by natural death; even so spiritual adultery must be punished with spiritual death, that the Scriptures might be fulfilled.

However, Sin is not imputed where there is no Law; but when a Law is given, then the transgression of the Law is the sin to be punished with death.

What then is spiritual Adultery?

And when was it imputed unto Israel for Sin? And when was it punished with spiritual Death? As long as God is pleased to suffer his creatures to dwell in the thoughts of their own hearts by the Scriptures, concerning God and Jesus Christ; just so long does he suffer all nations to walk in their own ways, and to do that which is right in their own eyes. Acts xiv. 16; Deut. xii. 8.

And this is that spiritual adultery against

which there was no Law until the appointed time of God-on December 13, 1812.

But on that day, according to the Scriptures, (not after the letter, but after the spirit,) adultery is forbidden; and the transgression of the Commandment to be punished with death.

Now the spirit of man is, spiritually speaking, both Male and Female-for man has the power to beget in himself thoughts of things; and he has power to bring forth the thoughts he has conceived clothed in words, by which his thoughts are made visible to the spirits of other men. And because man hath this power in himself in natural things, in the day time; even so he thinks he hath the same power with his own thoughts by the Scriptures in spiritual things.

But God hath not given this power unto the spirit of man in spiritual things to bring forth judgment unto truth-For in spiritual things, the spirit of man ceases to be Male, and is only Female. For God in the spirit of his creature is the Male; and the Thought of God, according to the Spirit of Prophecy, is the Seed of Truth; which he begets in the spirit of his creature. And when the Spirit shall have finished all his work, by bringing forth in his spiritual wife the promised Seed, then shall we behold the Word made flesh, full of grace and truth, as it is written. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt
