He was a man of critical taste in .. books, familiar with the best editions in english literature and with a high appreciation of good imprints and of peculiar excellence in binding. Heyday the best english bookbinder of his day, bound a copy of Herrick poems with his own hands and sent it to this country as a present to Mr. Griffith to mark his appreciation of Mr.G's Knowledge and taste in such matters.
