Upon reviewing the Table, notwithstanding all the authentic additions made to the Catalogue in the Catholic Almanac,-and which are nearly 70 places-we are convinced that the following districts must be considerably deficient. AlabamaFlorida-Illinois-Indiana-Maryland-New-Jersey-New-York-Ohio, and Tennessee. We should therefore be inclined to add from one sixth to one fourth to the number of Priests and stations where mass is performed. This table will furnish however as complete and satisfactory a view of Popery as it now exists in the U. S. as can now possibly be obtained; and will serve to show with tolerable accuracy, the strength of the Roman community, on the first day of January, 1833. Statistical Catalogue of Popery.
