Twenty midshipmen, formerly appointed lieutenants by commanders in chief, which appointment, from particular circumftances, could not be confirmed, to be lieutenants.

October. The dignity of a marquis of the kingdom of Great Britain, to the right hon. John James Hamilton, earl of Abercorn, and the heirs male of his body lawfully begotten, by the name, flyle, and title of marquis of Abercorn.
