Kentucky-Act imposing an annual license

tax

upon every corporation, association, partnership and individual engaged in the business of manufacturing distilled spirits known as whiskey or brandy or other species of double stamp spirits in this state, and upon every corporation, association, partnership and individual engaged in the business of owning and storing such spirits in bonded warehouses in the state, and in removing same therefrom for the purpose of sale, or for any other purpose; providing for monthly reports by distilleries and bonded warehousemen, for the purpose of ascertaining the amount of tax due; providing for monthly payments of the amount of license tax due; fixing a penalty for failure to make such monthly report and settlement; providing for the manner of distribution of the tax so collected; repealing all other license, franchise and excise taxes on the business covered by this act, and declaring an emergency to exist.
