The Eastern Mail is due and arrives generally at half past 11 A. M. by land; mails from Providence, Newport, and other places in Rhode Island, are received also by the Providence steam-boats.

The Southern Mail arrives generally at 5 to 6 A. M. The Northern Mail at the same time except on Mondays; no mail is despatched from Albany on Sunday, nor from New-York.

THE GREAT EASTERN MAIL.

Mails for Boston, Providence, Newport, and the state of Rhode-Island; also New-Hampshire, Massachusetts. Maine, and eastern part of Vermont, are closed daily at 5 A. M. and sent by land

Extra Mails for Boston, Providence, and Rhode-Island generally, are closed daily (except Sundays) at 3 P. M. and sent by the Providence steam-boats.

SOUTHERN MAIL.

N. B. A mail for Philadelphia is closed daily at 5 o'clock. Mails for Philadelphia and the state of Pennsylvania; Wilmington and the state of Delaware; Baltimore and the state of Maryland; Washington City, Georgetown, and Alexandria, in the District of Colum. bia; Richmond, Manchester, Petersburg, Norfolk, and the state of Virginia; the state of North Carolina : Charleston, and the state of South Carolina; Savannah, Augusta, and the state of Georgia; the territories of East and West Florida, and the eastern section of the state of Alabama, will be closed every day at 2 o'clock P. M. and will arrive at 6 o'clock A. M.

Mails for the intermediate offices between New-York and Philadelphia, viz. Jersey City, Newark, Elizabethtown, Rahway, 'Amboy, New-Brunswick, Princeton, Trenton, Burlington, Lawrenceville, Rocky Hill, and Six Mile Run, N. J.; Morrisville, Bristol, Andalusia, and Kingston, Pa.; are closed every day, except Sunday. at 2 o'clock P. M., and arrive every day, except Monday, with the Southern mail.

Mails for Maysville, Ky., and the states of Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, and Missouri, and the territory of Arkansas, are made up with the Southern mail daily.

Mails for Tennessee, Western Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana states, and New-Orleans, are made up daily with the Southern mail.

Mails for Clinton, Lebanon, Northbranch, Whitehouse, Somerville, Anderson, Coursensville, Chester

Hacketstown, Mansfield, Millington, Mendham, Monroe, Newvillage, Oxford Furnace, Pleasant Valley, Stewartsville, Schooley's Mount, Union, and Washington, N. J., Easton and Wilkesbarre, Penn., are closed every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, with the Southern mail, and arrive here every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday morning.

Mails for Acquackanock and Paterson will be made up every day at 8 A. M.

The mail for Millstone, N. J., will be made up every Wednesday and Saturday with the Southern mail.

Mails for Belleville, N. J., will be closed every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, at 2 o'clock P. M., and will arrive every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, in the afternoon.

Mails for Bramersville, Franklin, Newfoundland, West Milford, Pompton, Stockholm, Hamburgh, and Deckertown, N. J., will be closed every Wednesday at 8 A. M. and arrive every Saturday in the afternoon.

Mails for Andover, Augusta, Branchville, Bethany, Clarkston, Camptown, Dundaff, Darlingsville, Frankford, Hopbottom, Lockwood, Montrose, Mount Freedom, Montague, Milford, Newtown, Palmyra, Stanhope, Suckasuney Plains, Silverlake, Sandystown, and Friendship, will be closed every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sa turday, at 4 P. M. and arrive every Tuesday, Thursday. and Sunday morning.

For Berkshire Valley and Stillwater, N. J., close every Sunday at 2 P. M.

For Baskingridge, Doughty's Mills, Milton, New Vernon, Sparta, and Liberty Corner, every Tuesday, at 4 P. M., and arrive every Wednesday morning with the Southern mail.

Mails for Chatham and Bottlehill every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

The Swiftsure Mail.

Mails for Springfield, Scotch Plains, Boundbrook, Somerset C. H., Pluckamin, Lambertsville, Ringoes, Perrysville, Prallsville, Centerville, Flemington Lunt

berville, Mattison's Corner, Martinsville, New Providence, Point Pleasant, Perryville, Pea Pack, Reading. town Point, Westville, Sargentsville, Warrenville, N. J., and New Hope, Buckingham, and Jenkintown, Pa., will be closed every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, at 2 o'clock, P. M. with the Southern mail, and will arrive every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday morning, at 7 o'clock.

Staten Island Mail.

Mails for Castleton, N. Y., will be closed daily at 2 o'clock, A. M., and arrive daily, during the summer. Long Island Mails.

Brooklyn, every day, except Sunday, at 10 A. M. Jamaica, Flushing, and Flatbush, ditto, at 2 P. M. North Side.

Auquebogue, Buckram, Crab Meadow, Cold Spring Harbour, Cutchogue, Dix Hills, Drowned Meadows Farms, Head Cow Neck, Huntington, Little Neck, Mil. ler's Place, Mattituck, Musquito Cove, Oyster Bay, Oyster Ponds, Wading River, Southold, Setauket, and Stoney Brook, will be closed every Sunday at 1 A. M. and Wednesday at 4 P. M.

Middle Mail.

Coram, Jericho, Middle Island, North Hempstead, West Hills, Smithtown, and Suffolk C. H., will be closed every Monday and Friday, at 4 P. M.

South Side.

Bridgehampton, East Hampton, Fireplace, Hunting. ton South, Hempstead, Islip, Moriches, Quogue, Speonk, Oyster Bay South, Patchogue, Sag Harbour, and Southampton, will be closed every Tuesday and Thursday, at 8 A. M.

Dover Mail.

Mails for Bronx, White Plains, Northcastle, Cross River, Poundridge, Bedford, South Salem, North Salem, Patterson, Pawlings, and Dover, N. Y., and Ridgefield and Danbury, Ct. will be closed every day, except Saturday, at 4 P. M., and arrive the same evenings.

THE NORTHERN MAIL

Is closed every day, except Sunday, at half past 3 o'clock, P. M., and arrives early in the morning. On the East Side of the Hudson River.

Mails for Yonkers, Greensburgh, Mount Pleasant, Cortlandtown, Peekskill, Wappinger's Creek, Staatsburgh, Red Hook, Upper Red Hook, Clermont, Livingston, Kinderhook, Kinderhook Landing, Greenbush, Ancram, Adriance, Chestnut River, Cherry Stone, City P.. O., Clinton, Copake, Dutchess P. O., Dobb's Ferry, Fishkill Plains, Federal Store, Germantown, Leedsville, Lithgow, and Mechanic, will be closed every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, at 7 o'clock, A. M., and will arrive every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, in the evening.

-Mails for New Paltz Landing, Washington Hollow, Washington, Attlebury, Amenia, North Amenia, Northeast, Milan, Spencer's Corner, Beekman, and Quaker Hill, N. Y., will be made up every Wednesday with the Northern mail.

Mails for Carmel, Yorktown, Kent, and Southeast, N. Y., will be made up every Friday with the Northern mail, at 8 A. M.

Extra Northern Mail on the East Side of the Hudson, during the suspension of steam-boat navigation.

Mails for Poughkeepsie, Hudson, Albany, and North- · érn Troy, Lansinburgh, Waterford, N. Y., Montreal, and Lower Canada, will be closed daily at 7 o'clock, A. M., and arrive daily at 2 P. M.

The extra Northern mail, during the season of navigation, will be transported by the steam-boats, and will be despatched as often as they run; during which period mails will be closed at this office one hour and a half previous to the time appointed for the departure of each boat, for the following offices, viz.: West Point, Newburgh, Fishkill Landing, Poughkeepsie, Kingston, Catskill, Redhook Landing, Hudson, Albany, Troy, Lansinburgh, Waterford, Coxsackie, Cold Spring, Greenville, Athens, Fishkill, Fishkill Landing, Wappinger's Creek, Goshen, N. Y., Sharon and Salisbury, Conn., Fish Lake, Rhinebeck, Lewiston, Oxford, Phillipsburgh, Hyde Park,
