PROVIDENCE.

He found no place of repentance, though he sought it.

The Lord is long-suffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

2 PETER, iii.

REVENGE.

Do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise; for he is the minister of God to thee for good; a revenger, to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.

ROMANS, Xiii.

O Lord! remember me, and visit me, and revenge me of my persecutors !

JEREMIAH, XV.

It is God that avengeth me, and that bringeth me forth from mine enemies.
