. 7 DOC [No. 7.] CONDITION of the Detroit Savings Bank, December 31, 1854. To the Legislature of the State of Michigan: The undersigned, the Finance Committee of the Savings Bank, would add to the statement of its present condition, that they have endeavored in all cases to loan only so much of the means as could be parted with, with perfect safety to the depositors, and then only on unquestioned securities, which would be punctually paid when they became due. We do not think there is one dollar loaned, which is not amply secured. There have been twenty-seven hundred and forty-eight (2,748) differ ent persons who have deposited money with the Bank, since it first commenced business. H. N. WALKER, SHUBAL CONANT, Z. PITCHER.
