1 Now when they ach. 9. 20. had passed through Amphipolis and Apollonia, they came to Thessalonica, where was a syna-b gogue of the Jews: 2 And Paul, as his manner was, a went in unto them, and three sabbath days + Or, whom, reasoned with them said he, I out of the scriptures, preach. 3 Opening and alc ch. 28. 24. ledging, that Christa ch. 15. 22. must needs have 27. 32. 40. suffered, and risen again from the dead; and that this Jesus, whom I preach unto you, is Christ.

1 AFTER these things Paul departed from Athens, and came to Corinth; 2 And found a certain Jew named a Aquila, born in Pontus, lately come from Italy, with his wife + Priscilla; (because Christ. that Claudius had commanded all Jews to depart from Rome:) and came unto them.

3 And because he was of the same craft, he abode with them, band wrought: for by their occupation they were tentmakers.
