In pursuance of law the Senate of the Eleventh General Assem. bly convened at 2 o'clock P. M., and was called to order by Lient. Governor Eastınan.

At the request of the President, Senator Wharton invoked the Disine blessing.

On inotion of Senator Cattell, George P. Abel, of Polk county, was elected Secretary pro tem.

The roll was called of the Senators holding over, and the following Senators were present: 4th District, Nathan Udell. 29th District-John Hilsinger. 7th District-L. W. Hillyer. 31st District-J. B.
