SENATE JOURNAL.

WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 4, 1901.

The Senate met at 12 o'clock M., and was called to order by Lieutenant-Governor EDWARD ECHOLS.

Prayer by Rev. Dr. Richard McIlwaine.

The following communication was received from the Secretary of the Commonwealth, transmitting a list of the senators-elect, as follows:

To the Honorable, the Clerk of the Senate;

RICHMOND, VA., December 4, 1901.

As required by law, I herewith respect fully transmit a list of the memberselect of the Senate for the term beginning this day, as ascertained and determined by the Board of State Canvassers at their meeting held November 25, 1901, the official record of which is on file in my office.
