ful bidder to enter into contract for such work and to give a bond with surety or sureties to be approved by the Levy Court in such amount as shall be fixed by the Levy Court conditioned for the faithful performance of the contract. Such contract shall be signed by said contractor and by the President of the Levy Court. The said contract, shall among other things, provide for the retention of at least ten per cent. of the contract price for one year after the completion and acceptance of the work, and the money so retained may be forfeited to the county if, within said year the bridge is found not to be in compliance with the contract. The said supervisors of roads shall each receive for their services an annual salary of two hundred dollars, to be paid by order of the Levy Court out of the road money derived from taxes over and above the ten thousand dollars reserved for repairs,
